from are meteorologist cecily tynan. >> this is news people still recovering from friday's major nor'easter do not want to hear but double scan live showing that next storm system, the pieces already in the map. we've got low pressuthe norther. that has been creating blizzard conditions and what this will do, it will transfer its emergency to a coast -- energy to a coastal low. that s intensifies and that brings us what is likely major snowstorm. we already have winter storm watches in effect for most of our viewing areas, essentially interior south jersey, the i-95orhere will be some mixing along the coast will limit some of the snowfall amounts. the timing shows that low pressure continues to track to the east. coastal low develops by wednesday in the wee hours of the morning. wednesday morning, i think a lot of people may be caught off guard because the precipitation will be light to begin with. there will be a mixture with some of that rain but then the storm system really cranks up into the afternoon and evening hours. by wednesday, at 5 o'clock, we have some heavy snow being

can see, the snow pretty much is already gone from the lehigh valley but even as the repairs and the cleanup continues, here we go again. officials are pennsylvania power and light say the nor'easter that that pounded our region last week ranks among the top 10 most damaging storms they've ever had to deal with. >> we've experienced a lot of outages. based on the trees coming down and making the -- also the roads inaccessible in the northeast. >> reporter: service has been restored to most homes and businesses that lost power during the storm but that does not include brandon ofalntn. >> yup, still out. it's been out since friday. we're still running the generators. we're here getting gas to keep it going and just trying to cope with things. >> reporter: the worst part is that brandon's power will likely not be restored before this next storm arrives. not everyone is complaining. kenneth of albright's hardware says he just ordered another

trailer road of rock salt after selling 20,000 bags of ice melting material over the past three months. >> that's a lot for us. typically we'll go through about 12 to 15 trailer loads but this year we've hit 25 trailer loads. >> reporter: we even spoke with a few people who say if you're going to complain, you live in the wrong part of the country. >> not a big deal. you know, you get used to it. >> reporter: you have no choice. >> i have no choice. no, i just grin and bare it and smile and live each day. >> reporter: i have to admit i'm still not used to it. now, we spoke with penndot officials as well. they're encouraging everyone to please stay off the roads if you can during the storm. it was a nightmare scenario for them up in the poconos after 20-inches of snow fell up there and it forced them to shut down major roads across the region and it was misery for hundreds even thousands of commuters who got stuck. reporting live from south whitehall township, walter perez, channel6 "action news." back to you. >> walter, thank you. meanwhile let's check in with drone6. it was in west mount airy

earlier today as crews were removing a tree from the top of a septa bus. the tree crashed onto the roadway, brought down wires last night along wayne avenue near lincoln drive. it was unable to move until this morning when crews were able to remove the downed branches and the wires. officials say fortunately no one was injured. but it certainly added big headaches to the morning commute. >> they were hard at work in springfield township, delaware county this morning. another area that was hit hard by the strong winds friday. "action news" was along the 600 block of thacter avenue as dominique used his chainsaw to chop up fallen trees on that block. he told us that this storm was the worst that he's seen in the past but he's happy to be out making money because there is no power at his home. >> that's why i don't mind working you know what i mean. it's something to do. like i said the power has been out, so -- >> well delaware county saw a good chunk of the power outages during the past storm. crews are still trying to restore service before the

next one hits. "action news"'s sarah bloomquist spent the afternoon talking with people in delaware, montgomery county. >> that's right. she's live in wynnewood tonight with more onts there. sarah. >> reporter: we saw plenty of poweromni working around montgomery county and parts of delaware county this afternoon. this is one spot they have yet to reach here on baumann ave wynnewood. neighbors here do have power but that means the wires are live and that tree is charged behind me. in fact, peco put up all this yellow tape because people kept trying to drive under those live wires. this has been an extremely slow process and now more snow is on the way. peco crews were working away this afternoon here on gypsy lane in upper merion. this massive tree came down in the storm on friday afternoon smashing an infiniti and taking power lines with it. >> my wife and i felt the whole house shake. >> reporter: nicholas and his family have been without power since. like many here, they have a

generator running but they're ready to get the power back on. >> i just hope they have it on tonight. 'cause i need some epsom salts and a bath. >> reporter: as he watching crews working on his block he's well aware another storm is on the way. >> i'm stocking up grass if i can find an electrical cord in king of prussia i'm buying it. unfortunately the stores are out. i'm stocking up on canned foods and frozen foods. >> roracrosshe street is also thinking about what he needs should the power go out again. >> i'm going out and loading up on gasoline so the generator is ready to go. but that's about all we can do. >> reporter: not far away in radnor township at the francisville home for smaller animals a 109-year-old animal shelter they have been dealing with damage from fallen trees and no power since the snow started on friday. >> and it started coming down very heavy and heard a bang, looked outside, saw this enormous tree that had been uprooted and fell onto the cars in the parking lot.

it the staff is so happy to see this team from chicago at work getting the power restored. >> we're really thankful to them and grateful. >> reporter: here in lower merion township alone at one point today more than 4,000custi power and there were more than 90 locations where there were trees or wires down. i'm sarah bloomquist channel6 "" >> all right, sarah, thank you. power crews in delaware spent the day trying to untangle this mess in brandywine hundred. they're already working on downed trees in the area of the washington street extension and hanover road when four telephone poles and two transformers were brought down. we're told that wire had been comprised by the storm and a truck snagged it. >> in the past hour or so, we've got an update from peco saying it is still trying restore more than 42,000 outages. most are in delaware montgomery county. ppl still has almost 29,000

>> police are working to track down three men suspected in a double shooting in philadelphia's feltonville section. investigators tell us both victims were young men got into an altercation with the suspects. theconfght on the corner of whitaker avenue at the roosevelt boulevard. the men are hospitalized and said to be in critical condition. the family of an accused killer in bucks county is nowt. cosmo dinardo and his cousin sean kratz are charged with killing and burying four young men on a farm in solebury

viewing area. this is not what people need but another is on the way. head over to the "action news" weather center and you can see we've got winter storm watches posted for most of our viewing area basically i-95 corridor all areas north and west for tuesday night into wednesday night. this is because this is the area with the potential for heavy accumulating snow. this storm system will be simil form of a nor'easter but it's going to have muchigeramounts fr viewing area and much lower wind. right now, touh, prty a b philadelphia, little bit on the cool side. allentown 41. cape may 43. wilmington 45. and 45 degrees. bright sunshine but definitely on the breezy side. satellite and radar actually i want to show you that we have two storms on the map. if you look here, you can see that is the departing nor'easter, that low pressure still kind of spinning across the atlantic and here's the next system on the way. one piece that's heading

through the northern plains, will transfer its energy off the carolina coast and that will become the nor'easter. doesn't really happen, though, until wednesday. so, tuesday is looking dry during the day day. we start off with sunshine, increasing clouds as we head through the afternoon. temperatures up into the upper 40's. so, again, little bit on the cool side. but that precipitation should hold off until tuesday nighten , this is really from that initial low. it's not that much. it's pretty light tuesday night. looks like we'll have a mixture of some snow in the far north and west suburbs, kind of a mixed bag. philadelphia it likely will start as rain, also rain across south jersey and delaware. wednesday morning still a lot of mixing going on. it will be very light. i think a lot of people were look out their windows and say what, this is no big deal. but then that storm system bombs out. it really intensifies. by 1 o'clock in the afternoon except for right along the coast, we have that wraparound cold air. we have heavy bands of accumulating snow. that lasts right through the wednesday evening commute and then finally tapers off by

wednesday night so we're looking at about a 24 hour event but the key times between about 10 o'clock in the morning wednesday until about 6 o'clock, so about eight hours of really intense snow. so, as far as expected snowfall this could be a really big deal for a big chunk of our viewing area. we're looking at eight to 16-inches, basically philadelphia, areas north, areas northeast. as we get more information on the track we should be able to narrow this down a bit. where we get some mixing across southern jersey, northern delaware, about four to 8-inches, right along the coast a lot of rain mixing in so that will really limit snowfall amounts two to 4 inches and it will be gusty but future tracker showing instead of wind gusts of 60 to 70 miles an hour like friday we're looking at wind gusts generally about 35 to about 45 miles per hour. but it could cause some additional power outages. so, the five day at 5:00 showing tomorrow pretty nice day. increasing clouds, 47. wednesday windy with heavy snow, 37. blustery on thursday behind that system 44.

of removing several large trees that had fallen along manayunk road including one near conshohocken state road and another one near bryn mawr avenue. similar scenes could be on the horizon as a second nor'easter in less than a week is heading our way and with the very latest on that meteorologist adam joseph who is tracking when this storm will hit and what we could expect this go round.adam. >> yeah,i, torr is another one of those days you can continue to wh to get done and then wednesday kind of hunker down 'cause the heart of the storm will be during the day on wednesday. storm tracker6 live double scan low pressure in the northern plains, much like the last system, low pressure there that goes to the ohio valley, then transfers its energy to the coast where a nor'easter will develop, so that's what's going to happen and as it develops, just south of our coastline it picks up a lot of moisture and winter storm watches for philadelphia, all points to the north and west, all the way into new england here so this is a pretty powerful hit once again for the midatlantic

and also the northeast. so, here is your timeline. it does begin 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. tomorrow evening but as light rain mixed with some wet snow. so, again, even at the onset, it's not a big deal. it's very light precipitation. even wednesday morning you'll wake up and you'll see light snow north and west, light rain in and around the city to the south and east saying again well where is the storm? it will ramp up late wednesday morning, midday into the afternoon. that's when it turns windy. that's when the heaviest snow will fall and most of the accumulation will occur. so, with this system it's not the wind that is the highest threat, it is that heavy wet snow that takes the cake this go round. icing and brutal cold that is low with the storm. strong winds and coastal flooding still a moderate threat. with that wind and heavy wet snow we'll be looking at additional power outages. i'll let you know how much to expect where you live in that full accuweather forecast. >> adam thank you. to chester county now where three large sinkholes

have opened up along the very same block in just a span of six months. neighbors tell "action news" pipeline construction is to blame. "action news" reporter annie mccormick live for us now in west white land township with the very latest from there. hi, annie. >> reporter: hi, sharrie. crews just wrapped up for the day. they spent the entire day in the backyard of this home behind me where a new sinkhole did pop up. the state senator for this area says he's going to try to get an emergency stop order until they try to figure out exactly what happened. chopper6 hd over a new sinkhole that appeared in the 400 block of drive on sain thhome. neighbors say the residents insitoew doors down, a sinkhoe, now the size of a swimming pool, is in tj allen's backyard. the ground began opening here in november. what is your biggest concern right now. >> that my house is going to fall into the ground.

this west whiteland township neighborhood is part of the sunoco pipeline project. one pipeline is active the other under construction. that line will carry propane and butane. >> while they were doing this 24 hour dig they created a second sinkhole right next to my existing sinkhole. we didn't know it until the next day. it also created a sinkhole up here. >> reporter: allen feels there is little transparency on the project. sunoco said saturday they took immediate action and released this statement today saying in part, "we injected an approved liquid concrete mix or sometimes referred to as flowable fill into holes that were created by soil movement. this action has completed and all areas have been secured ." >> i'm skeptical how long that's going to last. is that a five year fix? >> reporter: state senator andrew din man says there's no coordination of state agencies making this ongoing process frustrating. today he learned the sinkhole exposed one of the pipe lines. >> and i'm sure the citizens and myself would ask the puc

for an emergency order to stop until further evaluation of both -- both the original pipeline and the construction of the new pipeline. >> reporter: and it was federal state and local crews that were out here and will come up with a full report but residents say this is a small part of a much bigger issue. for now reporting live in west white land township, annie mccormick channel6 "action news." back to you. >> all right, annie, thank you. shots were fired during an armed robbery in philadelphia's north woods section according to police. two men entered a quickie mark before 3:00 p.m. on february 7 and demanded all of the money in the register. the suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. fortunately no one was injured. but if you recognize the suspects in this video you're asked to contact the police. a 72-year-old woman was injured when a stray bullet entered her home through a window in southwest philadelphia. police tell "action news" it

happened around 12:30 this morning on the 7100 block of brant place. they say the bullet did not strike the woman who was asleep at the time but glass from the window hit her leg. she was taken to presbyterian hospital for observation. at this time there's no word on who may have fired the shot. >> a man who was shot by police in montgomery county over the weekend h abington township police say they were called to the 800 block of jenkintown road where multiple people were stabbed. oicers s found the suspect barricade i the home andha the unidentified and pronounced dead there at the scene. they say a gun was also the suspect. police have not said how many victims there were in all. in new jersey, two women have been charged with assault following a large fight at a chuck e. cheese. police say the fight involving 15 to 20 people broke out last night around 6 o'clock at the restaurant in deptford. they say 47-year-old tracy

this one will have more snow with it compared to the last time. but also witsome wind as well so we'll head to the weather center here. take a live look in cape may. expecting minor coastal flooding and that is good news for the shore communities but we ended the day with a little bright spot in the sky after a decent amount of sunshine on this monday. but we are expecting another big heavy thump of snow during the day on wednesday. it's going to go downhill very quickly during the day on wednesday. winds will be gusting 40 to 45 miles an hour which still can do some damage. it's not going to be the 60 to 65 but still pretty gusty winds with this next storm and minor coastal flooding for the shore. temps not bad right now. low to mid 40's, it's below average for this time of year but with the sun that high march sun angle helping to really wipe out that recent snow pretty quickly. as we take a look at satellite d radar, there you can see that sunshine out there today. some high clouds coming in xtsyhich really the of that

setup is almost exactly the same. we have low pressure in the northern plains that goes to the east over the ohio valley and that will transfer its energy to a coastal storm that becomes that major nor'easter but we'll see a little bit of this precipitation near chicago work in here first thing tomorrow evening. but tomorrow not a bad day to do errands, maybe clean up the yard a little bit more, 46 in allentown, 47 in trenton, 47 in millville. sunshine most of the morning and then the clouds will increase during the afternoon with light winds. future tracker as we go into the evening hours of tuesday, that's when light precipitation breaks out. it's very light at first. some rain to the south, mixture of sleet and wet snow in and around the city in that blue. snow all points to the north and west. as we get into wednesday morning, again, at this point, you'll look out your window and you may say it's not horrible out there, rain to the south and east. a mixture along the i-95 corridor, snow to the north and west. then mid to late morning, that's when everything really ramps up here as that coastal

takes over, 1 o'clock wednesday afternoon, lunchtime heavy snow across basically the heart of our viewing area. still mixing at the shore. 5 o'clock in the afternoon, snow all the way to the shore as that colder air wraps in with the winds around that storm and then it departs as we get into wednesday evening. so, how much snowto expect? atwo to 4 inches dover wildwood atlantic city before it ends. then four to 8-inches lancaster wilmington millville, most of south jersey. now in and around philadelphia, trenton, points to the north and west we have a big area, an eight to 16-inches and that's a wide range of snow totals because again the track is really going to depend on who sees the eight, who sees the 16. we're going to have to shrink this and we'll update this map during the day tomorrow to fine tune where that heaviest hit of snow is of 12-inches or more but it could be right around philadelphia, trenton or it could be displaced to the north and west but this is the first really good call map from us. so, as we take a look at the key points here with this storm, it really depends on

the track where the heaviest snow is going to be. it begins very light as rain and mix tomorrow evening and then ramps up wednesday noon and afternoon and that's when the roads are going to get quickly covered so you may want to just hunker down wednesday morning even if it doesn't look bad because it will deteriorate quickly here wednesday lunchtime and beyond the exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast 47 sun to clouds tomorrow, windy heavy snow. do expect additional power outages with this storm as those winds pick up and that heavy wet snow weighs down on limbs and power lines. then thursday blustery, some sun, 44 degrees. 45, clouds and sun on friday. and a pretty chilly seven day for march as we go into the weekend. we'll have to watch for another coastal storm late sunday into monday and also this weekend you want to turn those clocks ahead one hour and stay with us here and also on social media pages as we get more information. >> can we turn the clock ahead towards april.
