hello, hello! [crowd chanting "four more years!"] pres. biden: thank you, thank you. thank you for that introduction. more importantly -- thank you for that introduction and for your courage. your courage. and to share your story. it's not an easy thing to do. kate represents millions of women who are enduring unbearable pain and cruelty because of donald trump. sadly, this pain and cruelty that millions of women in florida now face. but as i said, as she does that, it is not inevitable. it is not inevitable. we can stop it. when you vote. we can stop it. [crowd cheering]

thank you to representative kathy, stand up, kathy. kathy is doing an incredible job in congress. and as a great, great friend. thank you for writing over with me from the airport. the president is at the airport means, you have got to show up. anyway, thank you. i want to thank our next u.s. senator. stand up. [applause] as one senior senator years ago when i was a freshman running for reelection in the united states senate said to me, he said, i will campaign for you or against you, whatever will help the most. [laughter] it's really important you win. this is a critical, critical vote. debbie is running against rick scott. who wants to sunset social security. [crowd booing]

i think voters will sunset rick scott. [crowd cheering] it is important. all of you here today, it is good to be at the community college. my wife has been campaigning all over the country with me. my wife is still a full-time professor. at northern virginia community college. get that man his phone, he will be in trouble. [laughter] she is teaching this very day, joe is. community college, as she often says, is one of the best kept secrets in america. i really mean it. if i had my way, in the next four years, i will make community college free. [crowd cheering] and it will grow the economy. it won't cost the taxpayers. look, next week, one of the nation's most extreme antiabortion laws take effect in florida. it is criminalizing reproductive

health care before women know whether they are pregnant. this is bizarre. you can put a doctor in prison if you he takes care of a patient. you just heard some version of louisiana. this extreme florida law will impact 4 million women in the state of florida. florida is one of 21 states in america where you can't get access that you need for care. this adds up to one in three women throughout the united states of america have this limitation. for 50 years, the court ruled that it is a right to privacy. but two years ago, that was taken away. let's be real clear, there is one person responsible for this nightmare, and he has acknowledged it and has bragged about it. donald trump. [crowd booing] trump's bragged about overturning roe v. wade, when
11:44 pm
there is no federal right, no decision can be made. all those decisions made at the state level. a lot of people don't focus on that. every state can make a decision. now trump says the law is "working the way it is supposed to." trump goes on to say, individual state laws are working, his words, brilliantly. brilliantly. a six-week ban in florida, it is really brilliant, isn't it? even before women know they are pregnant, is that brilliant? look at arizona. it goes all the way back to 1864 before arizona was even a state before women have the right to vote, concluding that is the law of the land in arizona. today, maggot republicans refuse to repeal that ban in arizona. trump is taking us back 160 years. he says it is up to the states. this is all about states rights.
11:45 pm
but he is wrong. the supreme court was wrong. it should be a constitutional right in the federal constitution, a federal right. [crowd cheering] and it should not matter where an american lives. this isn't about states, it's about women's rights. [crowd cheering] i mean this. look, now he is worried voters will hold him accountable for saying he is responsible for getting roe v. wade overturned. donald trump is worried voters will hold him accountable for the cruelty and chaos he has created. folks, we are going to hold him accountable. [crowd cheering] we are. he should be held accountable. he should be accountable for state's and acting extreme laws that put ivf treatments at risk for women desperately trying to have families. we will hold trump accountable for women being turned away.

forced to travel hundreds of miles to get basic health care. forced to go to court to plead for help to protect herself and her ability to have children in the future. voters will hold trump accountable. [crowd cheering] when women are told by extreme politicians and judges to wait, get sicker and sicker, to the point where your life is determined and gets endangered, pregnant women in america are at risk, particularly black women in america. that is just the to statistic -- just the statistic. i believe voters will hold trump accountable when family members and doctors are threatened with prosecution for trying to help them. not only that, i believe voters will hold trump accountable to prevent all women in america from getting safe and effective medication. it was approved by the fda 20 years ago, they are trying to
11:47 pm
outlaw that now. for 50 years, the court has recognized women have a fundamental constitutional right, and then trump took it away by the deal he made. now in america today, women have fewer rights than their mothers and grandmothers had because of donald trump. look, i don't think we are going to let him get away with it. do you? folks, in a sense, i don't know why we are surprised by trump. how many times has he had to prove -- to prove he cannot be trusted? trump bragged how proud he was to get rid of roe v. wade. he took credit for it. he said, there has to be punishment for women exercising their reproductive freedom. his words, not mine. he described the job's decision as a miracle. maybe it is coming from that bible he is trying to sell. [laughter] whoa. i also wanted to buy just to see

one what the hell is in it. folks, it was no miracle, it was a political deal. to get rid of roe v. wade. a deal. a political deal he made with the evangelical base of the republican party. to look past his moral and -- they looked past past his moral and character flaws in exchange for his commitment to appoint justices of the supreme court would overturn roe. don't think he is not making a deal right now with maga extremists to ban abortion in every state, because he is making it. the maga majority have three separate bans to ban choice nationwide in every state based on each state. these bills have a willing -- have overwhelming support in congress from public and spit but as long as i have the power of the presidency it is never going to happen. [crowd cheering]
11:49 pm
i mean it. if congress ever passes a ban, i will veto that ban. [cheering and applause] kamala and i will make roe v. wade the law of the land again. [cheers and applause] let's be clear, the overturning of roe v. wade also puts at risk broader rights of privacy for everyone. if you think i am exaggerating, here is what justice thomas wrote in roe v. wade. he wrote that the future cases of the court should reconsider -- reconsider -- all precedents. from griswold, legalizing contraception, and legalizing same-sex marriage. justice thomas means it, and so does donald trump. here is what that means. the right to use birth control, the right to marry the person you love. all that is at risk now because

it is no longer viewed by some of our good friends in the court as a constitutional guaranteed right. are we going to let that happen? >> no! [applause] pres. biden: i like it, man. will you come with me? [laughter] folks, the extreme laws passed since overturning roe v. wade have no place in the united states of america. but what does have a place in america is your voice. the decision to overturn roe v. wade and saying states should make the decision practically dared women to be heard. here's what they wrote in that decision. women are not without electoral or political power. no kiddin'. no kiddin'. they are almost challenging you. i said at the time, i don't think the courts or republicans

have a clue about the power of women in america. [cheering and applause] i mean it. i mean it. but they are beginning to find out. since the dobbs decision, which the state said should make these decisions. states all over the country from ohio, kansas, michigan, kentucky, wisconsin, virginia, women and men voted in record numbers to protect reproductive freedom. this november you can add florida to that list. [cheers and applause] are you ready to do that? you gotta show up and vote. are you ready to protect freedom? it was donald trump who ripped away the right of freedom for women in america. it will be all of us who restore the rights of women in america. and when you do that, we will
